Hypnosis Tips, Tools, and Pointers

The following guide is designed to provide you with additional helpful tips, pointers, and tools.  These tips and pointers should be used between session 1 (your cleansing session) and session 2 (your change session).  

Exercise Your Body To Clear Your Mind:
Oftentimes, our conscious mind can get so cluttered throughout the day with a seemingly endless array of information. In addition to things like social media and instant communication via text, email, and other methods, it’s no wonder that information overload can lead to burnout and inaction. That’s why even simple exercise is such a powerful tool in helping your subconscious to achieve your goals. You will boost endorphins (chemicals produced in your brain that make you feel good) while clearing your mind to help you make better decisions. And the more good decisions you make, the more likely you will achieve your goals and attain success. By clearing the conscious mind (at least for a little while) and encouraging you to focus on a physical activity, you are refreshing and re-charging your subconscious mind to allow you to make better conscious decisions. 

Get Mentally Prepared:
As you are now getting ready for session 2 (your change session) you should prepare yourself by viewing your next upcoming visit as a gain and not a loss. For example, if you're goal is to quit smoking, avoid puffing down that LAST pack a cigarettes on the way to our office. Or if you are working on losing weight, avoid stopping off for that FINAL ice cream sundae before you get here. Remember to put forth an effort by mentally reminding yourself that your next session is the beginning of something good - not the end. Keep repeating this to yourself over and over again before you arrive.

"You Are What You Think, So Think Well."
Each morning repeat positive suggestions to yourself out loud as you look into a mirror. When you consistently hear positive suggestions coming from yourself, over time you begin to create a new pattern of thinking in your brain. This concept takes practice, but eventually it will become more natural and automatic. Also remember that although these personal commitments will always be correct because they come from within, you should use present 1st person suggestions such as "I am a non-smoker," "I do crave healthier foods," "I do feel calm and relaxed," and so on.

Drink Lots Of Water:
Did you know that water boosts brainpower? Your brain needs a lot of oxygen to function at optimum levels, so drinking plenty of water ensures that it's getting all it needs. In fact, drinking 8 to 10 cups of water per day can improve your levels of cognitive performance by as much as 30%. In addition, research shows that dehydration levels of just 1% of your body weight reduces thinking functions. Therefore, drinks lots of water everyday before your next upcoming session. Staying well-hydrated is super important for your mental performance, and it will help you during your hypnosis session.

Don't Forget To Feed Your Brain, Too:
In addition to feeding your body healthy foods and drinking lots of water, remember to also feed your subconscious mind healthy, uplifting, and motivational content. Avoid watching the news first thing in the morning. It's usually all negative, and will put you in the wrong frame of subconscious mind. Remember, if you want positive results, you need to think positively. Instead, try listening to a motivational audio program as you get ready for the day, or maybe take a few minutes to read a motivational article or chapter from a book. Every little bit counts.

Stay Realistic & Stay Focused:
We realize that it's usually only after many failed attempts that people turn to hypnosis for help. So we expect a little apprehension from some folks. However, it's important to remember that we are on your side. Since having long-term clients is NOT our goal, please be assured that we are going to do everything in our power to help you change as quickly as possible. However, your job is to try your best to be realistic and stay positive throughout this process.

While you may have used this a few times before session 1, you should continue to use it before your next upcoming session.  Remember that hypnosis is all based on relaxation, and the more you practice - the easier it is.  By continuing to watch, it help you enter a relaxed state of mind using special audio frequencies and tones, and it will make it easier to enter a heighten level of relaxation for when you return.  Again, you should watch the video once a day before your next upcoming session.
